GB/T 26572-2011 "Limit Requirements for Restricted Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products" and its first amendment, GB 26572-2025 "Requirements for Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products", and other relevant national standards have been published. To ensure the orderly implementation of conformity assessment for the restriction of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products, the following requirements are hereby clarified:
I. From the date of this announcement until December 31, 2025, enterprises shall conduct conformity assessment activities in accordance with GB/T 26572-2011 or GB/T 26572-2011 and its first amendment or GB 26572-2025; from January 1, 2026 to July 31, 2027, conformity assessment activities shall be conducted in accordance with GB/T 26572-2011 and its first amendment or GB 26572-2025; from August 1, 2027, conformity assessment activities shall be conducted in accordance with GB 26572-2025.
II. Products that have completed conformity assessment activities in accordance with GB/T 26572-2011 and continue to be manufactured or imported from January 1, 2026, should complete the conformity assessment conversion in accordance with GB/T 26572-2011 and its first amendment or GB 26572-2025 before January 1, 2027. Products that have completed conformity assessment activities in accordance with GB/T 26572-2011 and its first amendment and continue to be manufactured or imported from August 1, 2027, can complete the conformity assessment conversion in accordance with GB 26572-2025 through natural transition methods such as certificate renewal upon expiration or product change.
III. The testing methods for conformity assessment activities on the restriction of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products conducted in accordance with GB/T 26572-2011 and its first amendment or GB 26572-2025 shall be implemented in accordance with the relevant parts of the GB/T 39560 series standards.
